Access Protocols
Access to the WeTheNorth infrastructure requires a Tor-enabled client. Standard browsers utilize clear-net protocols which are incompatible with V3 Onion Services.

All legitimate mirrors are cryptographically signed by the market's PGP key. Upon accessing the main portal, you can verify the validity of the URL by checking the signed message provided in the header. If the signature does not validate against the imported public key, terminate the connection immediately. This ensures integrity against MITM (Man-in-the-Middle) attacks.
Financial Operations
WeTheNorth supports Bitcoin (BTC) and Monero (XMR).
Operational Recommendation: Monero is the preferred currency for all transactions. XMR utilizes Ring Confidential Transactions (RingCT) and stealth addresses, effectively breaking the link between sender and receiver on the blockchain. Bitcoin transactions should be mixed (CoinJoin) prior to deposit, whereas Monero is private by default.
The platform utilizes a centralized escrow system. Funds are held in a multisig-like environment controlled by the market until the buyer confirms delivery or the Auto-Finalization (AF) timer expires.

Security & OpSec
PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) is not optional; it is integral to market operations.
- 2FA Login: Users must decrypt a random nonce to access their account.
- Communication: All shipping details must be encrypted with the vendor's public key before submission.
- Recovery: Account recovery is only possible if you possess the private key associated with the account's PGP key.
STRICTLY PROHIBITED. The exchange of Telegram handles, Wickr IDs, or email addresses is a violation of the Terms of Service. This policy prevents social engineering and ensures all transaction data remains within the dispute resolution system. Violations result in immediate account termination.
Logistics
WeTheNorth enforces a rigid Canada-to-Canada shipping framework. International shipments are blocked at the infrastructure level. This isolationist strategy eliminates customs checks—the primary vector for controlled deliveries and seizures—resulting in superior operational security for vendors and buyers alike.
The market operates under a specific harm-reduction ethical code. The following items are banned from the platform:
- Firearms, explosives, and weaponry
- Fentanyl and related analogues
- CP / Exploitation material
- Poisons / Hazardous chemical agents
- Services related to physical harm
